Eligibility for registration
Registration is mandatory for companies/organizations which employ more than 20 individuals. It also includes contractual and also permanent employees. Smaller organizations which do not have the minimum strength can also register their Business/Organisation/Company voluntarily in EPF & MP Act 1952. Companies which grow to strength of 20 members expected to register themselves within one month the company has to register from the time of attaining this strength. Otherwise penalties applicable for delays in registration.
Registered organizations continue under the purview of the rules and also regulations of the Act even if their employee strength falls. If there is no coverable Employee or No work in the organisation then Employer need to deposit Nil return by submitting Rupees 75/- (Seventy-five only) Adminisatrtion charges Challan online to EPFO .
